Salesforce Integration

The Salesforce Integration allows you to connect your Growbots and Salesforce accounts for a better and more efficient sales process. You can use this feature to:

  • Upload the prospects generated in Growbots to Salesforce.
  • Exclude the contacts/leads you already have in Salesforce from being generated by Growbots when prospecting.
  • Upload the generated prospects and exclude the existing leads.

Connecting Salesforce

  1. Log in to Growbots as the Admin user.
Note: Only the admin user can connect Salesforce. Once it’s done, it will be connected for every user of the organization.
  2. Go to the Dashboard section and click Connect Salesforce.
  3. Log into Salesforce and grant the necessary privileges by clicking Allow.
Note: An API connection is required in order to connect to Salesforce. Follow the guide in this article to enable it.

Prospect Exclusion

prospect exclusion
You can exclude leads and contacts you already have in your Salesforce from your projects in Growbots. This de-duplication process is based on the prospect’s email addresses.

  1. Choose whether you want Growbots to exclude Leads, Contacts or both. You can also choose not to exclude either from your searches.
  2. Additionally, you can upload a company do-not-contact list of domains that you want excluded from your projects. You can read more about preparing a do-not-contact list in this article.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

Prospect Sync

You can choose if you want prospects generated in Growbots to be uploaded to Salesforce.

  1. Choose whether you want the prospects to be uploaded to Salesforce as Contacts or Leads.
  2. You can also choose not to upload the prospects at all.
  3. You can also choose if you want Growbots to create Accounts for the imported contacts in Salesforce.

If you choose not to push prospects to Salesforce, that’s the last step. Simply confirm the setup by clicking Save & Finish.

Otherwise, click Next Step once you’re ready.

Contact Column Status

If you chose to upload prospects to Salesforce as Contacts, choose which column in the Contacts table contains information on the prospect’s status.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

Status Mapping

status mapping
If you chose to upload prospects to Salesforce, these leads will be updated when a certain action has been executed in Growbots. For example, you can update the lead status when the first message is sent to the prospect or when you marked them as qualified or unqualified. To do this:

  1. Map prospects statuses in Growbots to lead statuses in Salesforce.
  2. Note: A prospect will be uploaded to Salesforce when the first mapped action is executed.
If you don’t want the contact to be created immediately when the prospect is accepted but, for example, when the prospect replied, leave the statuses for all previous actions unmapped.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

Data Mapping

data mapping
Growbots can include Growbots custom fields to Salesforce when adding prospects.

  1. Map the custom fields from Growbots you want uploaded to Contacts or Leads table fields in Salesforce.
  2. The search box inside the dropdown menus will help you find the appropriate fields.
  3. Note: Validation rules may require some fields to be filled with data. If you have fields that are required, they will be listed at the bottom of this section
Make sure to map all the required fields before proceeding to the next step.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

User Mapping

Growbots will assign an owner to the prospects uploaded to Salesforce.

  1. Map Growbots users with Salesforce users so that the proper owner is assigned to your contacts or leads.
  2. Note: whenever you add a new Growbots user it will be mapped by default to the Salesforce admin (the person who connected Salesforce to Growbots).
So when adding new users, make sure to update the mapping immediately.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

Account Fields Mapping

If you chose Growbots to create Accounts for your Contacts, Growbots can upload chosen custom fields to Salesforce Accounts.

  1. Map the Growbots custom fields you want uploaded to Accounts table fields in Salesforce.
  2. The search box inside the dropdown menus will help you find the appropriate fields.
  3. Note: Validation rules may require some fields to be filled with data. Any fields that are required will be listed at the bottom of the table.
Make sure to map all the required fields to proceed to the next step.

Once you’re ready, click Next Step.

Email Tracking

Growbots can track the emails you sent to your prospects and their replies in Salesforce as activities (using the API calls).

  1. Choose whether you want emails sent from Growbots to be tracked in Salesforce.
  2. Choose whether you want your prospects’ replies to be tracked in Salesforce.

Once you’re ready, click Save & Finish.

That’s it! You have successfully connected your Salesforce to Growbots. Keep in mind that you can edit these settings anytime.
